魏振宝,1944年10月6日生,江苏扬州人,汉族,毕业于安徽师范大学艺术系,芜湖市书画院专职画家,被聘为英国皇家艺术研究院荣誉院士、客座教授,系中国美术家协会会员,国家一级美术师,被聘任全国政协画院副院长,作品多次参加全国美术作品展览。

代表作有:《课后》、《骄杨颂》、《沱江月》、《皖南民居》国画长卷《锦绣江南图》、《土家山寨图》、《徽乡古镇图》、《丝织图》等。

曾有作品赴罗马利亚、意大利、保加利亚、美国、日本展出,出版有《魏振宝素描集》、《魏振宝画集》。

2014年被授予“人民功勋艺术家”荣誉称号、“国家艺术奖金奖”荣誉称号,“国家艺术大师”荣誉称号。

2014年被授予“中国艺术百年巨匠”殊荣。

2015年被授予瑞典皇家艺术学院荣誉博士学位。

Wei Zhenbao, born on October 6, 1944 in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, of Han ethnicity, graduated from the Department of Art at Anhui Normal University. He is a full-time painter at the Wuhu Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and has been appointed as an Honorary Academician and Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Art in the UK. He is a member of the China Artists Association and a national first-class artist. He has been appointed as the Vice President of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Painting Academy, and his works have participated in national art exhibitions multiple times.

Representative works include: "After School", "Ode to Proud Yang", "Moon on the Tuojiang River", "Dwelling in Southern Anhui", a long scroll of traditional Chinese painting "Splendid Jiangnan", "Tujia Mountain Fortress", "Ancient Town of Huizhou", "Silk Weaving", etc.

Works have been exhibited in Romania, Italy, Bulgaria, the United States, and Japan, and have published collections such as "Wei Zhenbao Sketches" and "Wei Zhenbao Paintings".

In 2014, he was awarded the honorary titles of "People's Meritorious Artist", "National Art Award Gold Award", and "National Art Master".

In 2014, he was awarded the honor of "Centennial Master of Chinese Art".

In 2015, he was awarded an honorary doctoral degree from the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts.
